Rest in peace

Today my husband and I had to put our ailing kitty to sleep.

We were glad that we were able to talk to her and hold her as she drifted off, here in the home she ruled. :-) She had a great life for 15 years, and an especially good day today, when we let her (a strictly indoor cat) go outside and lie around in the real sunshine without a window filtering it. She purred almost the whole morning.

Rest in peace, baby girl.

Katey, been there, done that, got the heart aching for you this morning--- just remember you'll still see her at your ankles when you aren't really looking. Sweet kitty. LA

Laura, you're a sweetheart.

I'm glad to say that things have gotten better. Time does heal. Plus our other two kitties have been very snuggly this week, and that's been a balm for our hearts.

Alright then. (girding self) On with life...
